At Ostatu, our family legacy has been steeped in a hospitable character where the family and the vineyard have shaped who we are today. And as the epicenter, our house.

'La Venta' (Ostatu in Basque) was an inn until the 1960s. A manor house closely linked, forever, to the wine trade business due to its strategic location in the passage of carts and muleteers that transported the wines to the north. What better way to honor our past than to stay here again?

Eguzkilore (sunflower in Basque) symbolizes the protection of the home that in Basque mythology has always been linked to this flower, which stays at the entrance of many of our houses.

What will await you in 'La Venta'?

Our aim at ‘La Venta de Ostatu’ has been to create a comfortable environment that conveys calm and serenity with a touch of elegant sophistication which evokes our personality as a winery.

The use of a natural palette of colors and materials and the work with light is reflected in the fluid spaces, surfaces with organic shapes that soften the shadows, and reflected in the craftsmanship incorporated into the design in collaboration with local artisans.

Materials such as baked clay, natural fibers, and oak, carefully selected, link the project to the place and reflect the essence of the environment, capturing within it the vineyards to the south and the majestic Sierra de Cantabria, to the north.

Each corner has been carefully designed to harmonize functionality, beauty, and comfort. The design criteria are looking to achieve well-being objectives and the search for sustainability. Based on this, the apartments have a high degree of energy efficiency in balance with the heritage value of the 17th-century building.
